Victims exact revenge a week after robbery

SHAH ALAM: Three robbery victims who spotted the person who had robbed them last week took revenge by beating him up on Wednesday.

Upon recognising the armed robber at a shopping complex in Section 13 at about 9pm, the three forced him into a car and drove to a secluded spot nearby where they assaulted him repeatedly.

The robber sustained bruises and cuts on the face and abdomen.

His friend who witnessed the “kidnapping” alerted police who subsequently arrested all four at the scene.

They were then brought to the Shah Alam district police headquarters for questioning.

A police source said they learnt that the robber had confronted the three on Nov 6 in front of a house in Shah Alam with a knife and took RM200 and three mobile phones from them before fleeing on a motorcycle.

“However on Wednesday, the victims saw the robber inside a shopping complex,” the source said.

The source added that when the robber denied robbing them he was dragged out and was forced into a Proton Wira.

It is believed that the robber and his victims know each other.
